Developing For .NET

Hi, my name is Joel Cochran, and Developing For .NET is my development journal.? I began this journal in December of 2006 with a friend who has since moved on to other projects.

Originally an AS/400 RPG Programmer, I now develop in .NET full time. Through the years, I have struggled with concepts, embraced new approaches, and spent a lot of time with my nose in books.? Google and MSDN are my best friends, but I still find it difficult sometimes to find simple explanations and examples. This site is the result of my desire to share my solutions, findings, and experiences with other developers out there trying to make sense of it all.

The reality of .NET is that with the thousands of classes available to us, and the constantly growing Framework, there is simply too much to know. No one can be an expert in everything, so we frequently hit the Search Engines looking for help and solutions to our problems. Hopefully, this site can help with some of that. Some topics will be simple solutions to common problems, some of them will be cries for help themselves. In either case, everything posted here will be from real world experiences.
